The Cr8 Health and Fitness Network

Since this is Christmas and the time for giving, let me tell you a story of people who give to me.

I am the instructor at the Ladies Only 9AM Bootcamp at Get Fit NH Bootcamps. The ladies who attend the class amaze me each day. They push themselves physically, emotionally, and relationally. I see their dedication to health shine through.

Now if you are thinking at all about little pink dumb bells about the size of a pencil, you are wrong. Way wrong!

Single moms, mothers of preschoolers, moms with their high school girls working along side them, and even grandmas make up this class.

Two weeks ago this class challenged each other to do chin ups. They were given the option to do a different exercise but they chose the harder one. They wanted to move up to the next level.
Last week it was hand stand push ups. Every lady at that class gave it her all to do one. Just one. This exercise wasn't even part of our routine that day.
And this week? While we were stretching they mentioned being able to do the splits. Now as a class this is their goal.

Do you want to challenge these ladies to something? I'm not sure I would. It motivates them. They will push hard so they can succeed. They don't want to be known as the pink dumb bell ladies. They lift heavy, push hard, and succeed to be the best.

Check out what these ladies do visit Get Fit NH Bootcamp.

Merry Christmas to all

This is such an inspirational story. I think it's a great idea to give themselves one goal and once they reach that one, move to the next. This is great Nancy. Thanks for sharing.

I love the ladies in my 9 AM bootcamp class. They inspire me. They make me want to be a better trainer, person, friend, and athlete.

Who inspires you? Who pushes you to pick up the intensity of your workouts a notch?

Find someone....

It could be a group, a professional athlete, it could be a family member.

Let someone inspire you to greatness.

OK, I have to say that going back to the gym this week was harder than I thought. Well, not the idea of going but getting going in the morning since we have been traveling. However, I think about the people who get excited and motivated to be in my class, I also think about those who, at the end of the class say, "Great Class" and "Thank You!"

These little comments make me feel great and make me feel energized. I usually pump it up and make them work even harder and they just grin and bear it. I love it!!

Its comments like those that make me work harder, like you said. They also make me want to use comments like that to brighten other people's days. Wouldn't the world be a better place if people just said thank you with a smile more? I know I need to be better about it. I could change my little corner of the world. What do you think?

Someone once told me that when you smile before saying anything your mood changes and people can tell the difference, so saying Thanks or Hello or Have a good day with a smile will brighten their day and yours too.

Also, I was told to accept compliments with a smile and not make up excuses. When someone says Thanks or that was great - say your very welcome or I appreciate you saying that instead of Oh well I tried my best" or "no it wasn't that great"

I had the bad habit of complimenting others back when they said something like "you look great" and I learned that is not necessary, just say Thanks!

The power of a word with a smile is truly amazing!!
